Prince Harry visits Kyiv for security forum and demining awareness
Prince Harry arrived in Kyiv via train from Poland for a two-day visit to address the Kyiv Security Forum and support local humanitarian efforts. During his visit, the Duke of Sussex walked through a minefield, drawing parallels to his mother, Princess Diana, who advocated for the HALO Trust 30 years ago. He highlighted that Ukraine currently hosts the largest demining operation globally for the organization, a task expected to span decades. In his address, Harry urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the conflict and called on the United States to fulfill its international commitments. He also visited Bucha, a site associated with civilian deaths during the 2022 Russian invasion, emphasizing the ongoing humanitarian crisis. Throughout his visit, he stressed that the global community must not become apathetic toward the war, framing the conflict as a struggle for core values rather than just territory.
