Minister Alexis Vafeades visits the construction site of the 'Limnes' Hospitality Center

Minister of Transport Alexis Vafeades visited the construction site of the new migration facilities in Menogeia, Larnaca. The project involves building the 'Limnes' Hospitality Center for international protection applicants and a Pre-departure Center for those awaiting repatriation. This initiative aims to strengthen the asylum and return systems of the Republic of Cyprus amid increased migratory pressures. Section A of the project has been completed and is scheduled to be handed over to the authorities for immediate operation within the coming days. The total budget for the complex exceeds 84 million euros, co-funded by the EU and the Republic of Cyprus. Vafeades expressed satisfaction with the progress, noting that these facilities are essential for the government's broader migration management strategy.
