Fatal stabbing of police officer's son in Agios Dimitrios

On the evening of Wednesday, April 22, a 25-year-old man, who was the son of a Hellenic Police brigadier, was found dead in Asyrmatos Park in Agios Dimitrios. The victim sustained a fatal stab wound to the chest near the heart, along with injuries to the neck and head that suggested a physical struggle. The body was discovered after a witness alerted authorities around 21:30. Following initial investigations, police detained a 20-year-old suspect for questioning. While initial reports cited potential personal disputes over a woman or fan-related motives, authorities have stated that investigations are ongoing across all leads. The crime scene lacks security cameras, and the area is currently undergoing renovation. The victim's father reportedly arrived at the scene shortly after the incident, unaware that the victim was his own son.
