Cyprus reports deportation and migration statistics for early 2025
The Ministry of Justice, the Cyprus Police, and the Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Protection have released updated figures regarding migration control. Since March 1, authorities have conducted 195 deportations, processed 729 voluntary departures, and carried out 204 arrests related to illegal stay or employment. During this same period, 256 irregular arrivals were recorded. Cumulative data from January 1 through the current date shows 535 deportations, 2,052 voluntary departures, 578 arrests, and 529 irregular arrivals. Enforcement operations involve multiple facilities, including police detention centers, central prisons, and the Limnes migrant facility. Government officials stated these efforts are part of a coordinated strategy to manage migration flows and ensure public safety. Authorities confirmed that these operations will continue at current intensity levels across the country.
