Road incidents and fatalities reported across Cyprus on April 24-25, 2026
On April 24 and 25, 2026, several traffic incidents occurred across Cyprus. On April 24, a collision between two vehicles at the Yermasoyia roundabout caused significant traffic, while another incident near Monte Caputo closed the right lane of the Nicosia-Limassol motorway. Additionally, a truck breakdown on the Limassol-Paphos motorway near Episkopi caused a lane closure from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. On the same day, a bus and a car collided at a roundabout in Larnaca with no injuries reported. On April 25, a fatal collision occurred on the M1 road near the Akrotiri area involving a car and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist died at the scene, while his female passenger was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for questioning by the British Bases Police. The M1 road remained closed for investigation and clearing operations following the crash.
