CITEA to join presidential business mission to India
The Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association (CITEA) is set to participate in a business mission to India, led by President Nikos Christodoulides, scheduled for late May. The delegation, which includes CITEA president Giorgos Malekkos, aims to explore international market opportunities and promote Cyprus as a regional technology hub. A primary objective of the mission is to address the shortage of specialized labor affecting Cypriot IT firms. CITEA recently held discussions with the High Commissioner of India to Cyprus to explore cooperation in technology and innovation. Potential solutions under review include attracting talent from India, streamlining employment procedures for skilled professionals, and developing joint training initiatives. Beyond India, the Association is actively exploring future market prospects in China and the Middle East to foster industry growth. This initiative aligns with CITEA's strategy to enhance the export of services and expand its international presence through targeted partnerships.
