Cyprus concludes participation at Foodex Japan 2026 exhibition

Cyprus participated in the 51st edition of the Foodex Japan 2026 exhibition, held at the Tokyo Big Sight centre from March 10 to March 13, 2026. Organized by the Cypriot Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Cyprus Trade Centre in Tokyo, the initiative aimed to strengthen trade relations within the Japanese market. The national delegation was integrated into the European Union Pavilion, which facilitated access to professional buyers, importers, and representatives from the HORECA sector. Key products presented during the event included halloumi cheese, Cypriot wines, olive oils, and various salt products. Visitors were offered tasting sessions and live cooking demonstrations to showcase the quality of Cypriot exports. According to the Ministry, this participation provided data to help refine future commercial strategies in Japan. The ministry emphasized that the event served as a platform to assess the growth prospects of local products in a highly competitive international environment.
