The strong points of the third year of governance – The 59 government actions for 2026 announced by the President

President Christodoulides presented the roadmap for the third year of his administration, focusing primarily on foreign policy and the economy. The government plan for 2026 includes 59 specific actions distributed across five key pillars of priority. Among the most significant announcements is the opening of tenders for the upgrade of the naval base in Mari and the air base in Paphos. Regarding the economy, the President highlighted the reduction of public debt and the promotion of tax and pension reforms. Additionally, goals were set for Cyprus's entry into the Schengen Area and the strengthening of energy cooperation with Israel.
