Changes to the compositions of Parliamentary Committees

Parliamentary committee compositions have been altered following a session of the selection committee, announced by Speaker Annita Dimitriou. The changes were proposed by the Democratic Party due to the addition of MPs Andreas Apostolou and Michalis Giakoumi to their parliamentary group. Andreas Apostolou will leave the Education and Culture and Human Rights committees. Apostolou will join the Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance Committee and become vice-chairman of the Development Plans Monitoring and Public Expenditure Control Committee. Michalis Giakoumi will leave the Environment and Institutions committees and join the Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism Committee and the Transport, Communications and Works Committee.
