Iraklis Thessaloniki scouts travel to Cyprus for player and coach recruitment

Representatives of the Greek club Iraklis Thessaloniki, Stelios Marangos and Vangelis Angelis, are traveling to Cyprus to scout for potential reinforcements ahead of the new Super League season. The delegation plans to attend the Cyprus Cup semi-finals on April 22, specifically the Paphos versus AEL Limassol match at 17:00 and the Apollon Limassol versus APOEL match at 19:00. In addition to evaluating specific players, the representatives are reportedly searching for a new head coach, as the position remains vacant following the departure of Giorgos Petrakis. The club may consult with local football experts, including the current national team coach and former Aris manager Akis Mantzios, during their visit. This initiative follows a previous recruitment effort in January, when the club signed Austrian midfielder Marco Krainz from Enosis Neon Paralimniou. The scouting mission is expected to cover both player talent and potential managerial candidates to address the team's current organizational needs.
