Variable weather and dust expected in Cyprus through Wednesday
A weak high-pressure system is temporarily affecting the region, bringing periodic dust to the atmosphere from Monday until Wednesday. On Monday, temperatures are expected to reach approximately 20-22 degrees Celsius in the interior and coastal areas, falling to 8-9 degrees at night. Winds will blow from the northeast to southeast at 3 to 4 Beaufort, occasionally reaching 5 Beaufort locally. Tuesday will be characterized by increased cloud cover and local rain, particularly in the southwest and mountainous regions. By Wednesday, more widespread rain and isolated thunderstorms are anticipated, with a possibility of snow on the highest peaks of the Troodos mountains. Weather conditions are expected to weaken by Wednesday afternoon, though isolated showers may persist on Thursday. Temperatures will gradually decrease throughout the period to return to average climatological levels. The sea will remain generally slight to moderate during this period.
