Statistical report on administrative court appeals for 2025

The Legal Service of the Republic of Cyprus released its 2025 statistical analysis regarding the Administrative Court Appeals Subcommittee. In 2025, the Administrative Court issued 254 decisions on cases handled by the subcommittee, with 160 cases (62%) dismissed and 94 (38%) resulting in success for the applicants. This follows 2024, when 256 decisions were issued, including 157 dismissals (61%) and 99 successful appeals (39%). The main legal issues involved public service law, urban planning, land registry, environmental issues, police and military affairs, tax disputes, and benefit claims. The scope of the analysis includes not only Administrative Court rulings but also appeals handled by the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Constitutional Court where the Republic was a party. The Legal Service noted that the success rate for applicants in 2025 was 1% lower than in 2024. These statistics are intended to demonstrate the subcommittee's contribution to the administrative operations of the state.
