Fifth edition of Femme Fest Cyprus to take place in Nicosia

The fifth annual Femme Fest Cyprus is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 26, at Acropolis Park in Nicosia, starting at 15:00 with free admission for the public. The event is organised by the POGO Women's Movement, with institutional support from the Office of the Commissioner for Gender Equality, the Municipality of Strovolos, and the National Machinery for Women's Rights. The program features live performances, including a live recording of Historicon, a concert by the band 'Toutes enei', and a musical set by Aeris Duo. The festival includes several workshops focusing on workplace sexism, menopause awareness, and the recognition of women's unpaid labor through art therapy. Additionally, public discussions are planned regarding the normalization of far-right rhetoric, gender-based violence, and sexism within media and public discourse. A dedicated children's corner will offer interactive activities, such as storytelling and crafts, aimed at promoting equality and breaking gender stereotypes. The event aims to foster social dialogue through creativity and collective action.
