Greek actor and director Stefanos Linaios dies at age 98

Stefanos Linaios, a prominent figure in Greek theater, has passed away at the age of 98. Born Dionysios Linaios-Mytilinaios on August 6, 1928, in Messini, he pursued a career spanning over seven decades as an actor, director, writer, and theatrical entrepreneur. He received his formal training at the Sokratis Karantinos Drama School and later studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London. Throughout his life, he was involved in political activism and trade unionism, often facing significant personal and professional challenges. His daughter, Margarita Mytilinaiou, announced his death via social media, noting that he died peacefully with his wife, Elli Fotiou, by his side.
