Cyprus and Greece sign updated strategic investment memorandum
On Tuesday, April 21, Invest Cyprus and Enterprise Greece signed an updated and expanded strategic memorandum of cooperation in Athens. The document was signed by Marios Tannousis, Director General of Invest Cyprus, and Dimitris Skalkos, Chairman of Enterprise Greece. The signing took place during the 2nd Cyprus Business Presentation Summit, organized by FMW Financial Media Way. The event focused on the new Cypriot tax system and was attended by institutional investors and entrepreneurs from both nations. During his address, Marios Tannousis emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation in the investment sector for mutual benefit. He highlighted the defense industry in Cyprus as a key area for attracting foreign investment. Furthermore, Tannousis noted that the potential end of conflict in Iran could create new regional opportunities that the memorandum aims to address. The new tax system was described by officials as functional, modern, and flexible.
