CFA veteran football tournament held in Lakatamia

The Cyprus Football Association (CFA) held a one-day veteran football tournament in Lakatamia as part of its social responsibility initiatives. More than 80 players from four different teams participated in the event. In the first semifinal at the AOL Lakatamia Stadium, Enosis Neon Paralimniou / Free Famagusta defeated the Nicosia Veterans Association 2-0, with goals from Giorgos Zanettos and Martinos Solomou. In the second semifinal held at the THOI Lakatamia Stadium, Akritas Chlorakas and FC Veterans drew 1-1, with Akritas winning 4-3 on penalties thanks to goalkeeper Nikos Vasiliou. The final was won by Enosis Neon Paralimniou / Free Famagusta, who defeated Akritas Chlorakas 1-0 following a late free-kick goal by Michalis Konstantinou. The awards ceremony was conducted by CFA President Charis Loizides, who thanked the participants for their involvement.
