CFA veteran football tournament held in Lakatamia

The Cyprus Football Association (CFA) is hosting a one-day veteran football tournament in Lakatamia today as part of its social responsibility program. Four teams are participating: the Nicosia Veterans, ENP & Free Famagusta Veterans, FC Veterans, and Akritas Chlorakas Veterans. Semi-final matches will take place simultaneously at 16:00 at the AOL Lakatamia stadium and the EN THOI Lakatamia stadium. The matches will consist of two 30-minute halves, with penalty shootouts to determine a winner in the event of a draw. The winning teams will advance to the final, which is scheduled for 18:00 at the EN THOI Lakatamia stadium. Admission to all matches is free to the public. The teams feature former players who have competed in CFA leagues, with some having represented the national team or played abroad. These events serve to promote athletic participation among former professionals.
