Bill Viola exhibition hosted by PSI Foundation in Limassol
The PSI Foundation in Limassol will host an exhibition titled Bill Viola: Unspoken from April 24 to August 1, 2026. Curated by PSI Chief Curator Dimitri Ozerkov in collaboration with the Bill Viola Studio, the exhibition features works from the artist's five-decade career. Key showcased pieces include The Greeting (1995), Three Women (2008), The Dreamers (2013), and Martyrs (2014). The exhibition explores fundamental themes of the human condition, including birth, death, presence, and absence. Viola's work is characterized by slow-motion imagery, drawing inspiration from various spiritual and philosophical traditions, particularly Buddhism. The show aims to provide an experiential encounter with the artist's visual language regarding time and human perception. This collection highlights the artist's shift away from typical media spectacles toward meditative reflection. The event serves as a retrospective of his contributions to the field of video art since the 1970s.
