Recent arrests in Paphos and Limassol drug investigations

On Wednesday, the Paphos District Court remanded a 27-year-old man for five days following his arrest for drug possession. Police stopped his vehicle on Tuesday with a 33-year-old female passenger, discovering approximately 6g of cannabis, 1g of cocaine, and 1g of methamphetamine, along with cash. A subsequent search of his home led to the arrest of a 28-year-old man for illegal residence, while another unidentified person escaped. Officers also recovered additional cannabis and synthetic cannabis at the residence. Separately, police in Limassol arrested a 57-year-old man in connection with a 9kg cocaine seizure originally investigated in August 2025. A 45-year-old suspect is already facing trial for that case, which also involved duty-free cigarettes and cash. The 57-year-old is expected to appear in the Limassol District Court for committal to the Assizes.
