Cyprus participates in the 63rd Bologna Children's Book Fair

The 63rd Bologna Children's Book Fair took place from April 13 to 16 in Italy, featuring participation from over 90 countries. The Cyprus Publishers Association operated a pavilion funded by the Deputy Ministry of Culture, following a cooperation memorandum signed in 2024. The pavilion served as a venue for networking between international book professionals and Cypriot creators. Author Fytoula Vakana presented her book 'Lola and Her Friends' and hosted an experiential workshop. Illustrator Chrysso Charalambous created postcards for visitors at the site. The pavilion showcased works that received State Awards for Children's Literature and Illustration from 2021 to 2024. A representative from the Department of Contemporary Culture was present to promote government programs supporting the export and international recognition of Cypriot literature.
