Fatal gas leak in Limassol home claims life of 64-year-old man
On Easter Sunday, a 64-year-old man was found dead in his home in Limassol, Cyprus, following an apparent gas leak. The incident was discovered by the couple's 40-year-old son, who found his parents unconscious in the kitchen. Emergency services, including the police and the fire department, were called to the scene. While the man was pronounced dead upon arrival, his wife was transported to Limassol General Hospital in critical condition and remains intubated in the intensive care unit. Forensic examiner Nikolas Charalambous performed an autopsy on the deceased, which showed no signs of external trauma. Samples have been collected for toxicological analysis to confirm the exact cause of death. The Episkopi Police Station is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
