Deputy Ministry of Culture appoints evaluation committee for Kypria 2026 festival funding

The Deputy Minister of Culture, Dr. Vasiliki Kassianidou, has appointed a five-member committee to evaluate applications for the 'Kypria 2026' Arts Festival Funding Program. This appointment follows the official announcement of the program, which was launched on March 10, 2026. The committee members are Georgia Choplarou, Mary Roussou, Marios Psaras, Myron Michailidis, and Nicolas Stylianou. Their roles and responsibilities are defined under Paragraph Theta of the program's terms and regulations. This initiative marks the fourth year of the funding program, which aims to modernize state policy regarding the local festival scene. The program provides financial support to various organizations for the delivery of arts festivals throughout Cyprus. Furthermore, the Deputy Minister is currently conducting consultations with relevant stakeholders to develop a fully revised program for 2027.
