A student returns to school in Idalio after a year of cancer treatment

A young student named Naya returned to the 3rd Primary School of Idalio after a one-year absence due to cancer treatment. Accompanied by her mother, Elena, Naya was greeted by the school principal, Vasiliki Alexandrou, as well as her teachers and classmates. The event was attended by the president of the 'Mikroi Iroes' (Little Heroes) Foundation, Betty Antoniadou, and regional committee member Marios Antoniadis. The school staff and students organized a welcome event featuring a banner and a surprise birthday cake. Naya's teacher, Natasa Christodoulou, declared the day of her return to be celebrated as a symbolic second birthday. The school community acknowledged the end of her year-long medical treatment.
