Cyprus ship management sector posts strong performance in late 2025
The Central Bank of Cyprus reported that the island's ship management sector generated over €1 billion in revenue during the second half of 2025. This figure represents a 2.3% increase compared to the first half of the year, contributing 5.4% to the country's GDP. Total annual revenues for 2025 exceeded €1.9 billion, the highest level recorded since 2020. Findings from the Central Bank's semi-annual survey were discussed by the Cyprus Shipping Chamber during a meeting in Limassol with Dr. Chryso Aristidou. The report indicated that Germany remains the primary trading partner, accounting for 28% of total revenue. Other key partners include Switzerland (15%) and Greece (12%), while the United States rejoined the top partners at 4%. Sector expenses reached €897 million, a marginal increase of 0.2%. Full ship management services remained the primary revenue driver, accounting for 51.2% of the total.
