Ministry of interior announces distribution of voter booklets for 2026 elections

The Ministry of Interior has announced that electoral booklets for voters registered on the supplementary list of April 2, 2026, are now available. These booklets have been distributed to community leaders and mayors for collection by the registered voters or their relatives. Citizens can collect their documents from these local officials until the evening of Thursday, May 21, 2026. Following this date, any remaining booklets will be returned to the district administration offices, where voters may still collect them up to and including the day of the elections. Furthermore, individuals whose booklets are damaged or lost can request replacements at the district administration offices until 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026. Voters are reminded that they may cast their ballot on election day by presenting either their electoral booklet or their national identification card. The parliamentary elections are scheduled for May 24, 2026, with polling stations operating from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
