Ministry of Interior announces availability of new voter registration booklets
The Ministry of Interior has announced that the electoral booklets for new voters registered in the supplementary electoral list as of April 2, 2026, are ready. These documents have been sent to local parish and community leaders for distribution to voters or their representatives. Voters can collect their booklets from these local officials until the evening of Thursday, May 21, 2026. Following this date, unclaimed booklets will be returned to the offices of the respective District Officers, where they will remain available for collection even on election day. Additionally, the Ministry clarified that replacements for lost or damaged booklets can be obtained from District Officer offices until 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026. Voters are reminded that they may cast their ballots by presenting either their electoral booklet or their civil identity card.
