Fatal accident at the CODASUR rally championship in Argentina
During the second round of the FIA CODASUR Rally Championship in Mina Clavero, Argentina, a Volkswagen Polo driven by Didier Arias and co-driven by Hector Nunez crashed into spectators. The vehicle hit a dirt mound, flipped multiple times, and veered into an area where spectators were standing. One spectator, 25-year-old Brian Zarate Gonzalez, died in the incident. Two other individuals were injured, including a woman who suffered a broken ankle and her young daughter. The race was immediately suspended following the collision.
