Scheduled roadworks on various Cyprus motorways in April and May 2026

The Cyprus Department of Public Works has announced multiple roadwork projects scheduled across several motorways throughout April and May 2026. On April 27, 2026, pruning works near Kakoratzia will close the left lane of the Nicosia-Limassol motorway (A1) towards Limassol from 08:30 to 14:30. On April 22-23, 2026, excavations near the Agios Tychonas exit will restrict the shoulder of the Limassol-Nicosia road from 09:00 to 17:00. From March 2 to April 30, 2026, the Forestry Department will conduct pruning and irrigation on the Larnaca-Paralimni motorway, closing 300-meter sections of the shoulder without affecting traffic. Between April 6 and May 28, 2026, emergency door installations will occur on the Larnaca-Nicosia motorway, requiring partial lane closures between Rizoelia and the Nicosia-Limassol junction on weekdays. Additionally, horizontal signage maintenance is scheduled on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway between Skarinou and Athalassa/Limassol avenues from March 23 to April 30, 2026, during night hours. Drivers are advised to comply with temporary signage and police instructions in all affected areas.
