Musician Dimitris Starovas discusses recovery after May 2024 stroke

In a television interview aired on April 20, musician Dimitris Starovas spoke about the ischemic stroke he suffered in May 2024. Starovas stated that he experienced health issues, including panic attacks and arrhythmias, for over a decade but avoided medical consultation due to fear. He explicitly accepted personal responsibility for his deteriorating health condition. Regarding his professional life, he noted that he initially doubted his ability to perform due to speech difficulties following the stroke. However, after encouragement from director Alexandros Rigas, he continued his work in the play 'Ekeinos kai Ekeinos'. The production team adjusted the role to accommodate his current speech patterns. He also mentioned his return to the stage with the group 'Agamoi', admitting he had initial reservations about his performance quality.
