Two members of the Open University of Cyprus on the shortlist for the Greek National Literary Awards for 2025.

Two members of the Open University of Cyprus (OUC) have been shortlisted for the Greek State Literary Awards 2025. Professor Vaios Liapis is nominated for his translation and commentary of ancient Greek works on superstition. Anna Kouppanou, a member of the university's teaching staff, is nominated for her young adult novel "When the Sea Left Us," based on true events from the 1974 invasion of Cyprus. The novel follows twin refugee siblings traveling to Greece. The OUC congratulates both members on their nominations.
