Construction material prices in Cyprus increased in March 2026

The Statistical Service of Cyprus reported that the price index for construction materials reached 119.91 units in March 2026, using 2021 as the base year of 100. This reflects a monthly increase of 0.52 per cent and an annual increase of 0.93 per cent compared to March 2025. Electromechanical products saw the largest year-on-year rise at 2.44 per cent. Prices for wood, insulation, chemicals, and plastic materials rose by 1.44 per cent, while minerals increased by 1.40 per cent. More modest gains were noted in metallic products at 0.46 per cent and other mineral products at 0.04 per cent. During the first quarter of 2026, from January to March, the overall index increased by 0.87 per cent compared to the same period in 2025. These figures demonstrate a sustained upward trend in the cost of construction inputs across the sector.
