Cyprus records 3.8 percent economic growth in 2025
The Statistical Service of Cyprus reported that the national economy grew by 3.8 percent in 2025. Current price valuations placed the GDP at 36.48 billion euros, representing a 4.9 percent increase. Growth in the fourth quarter reached 4.5 percent compared to the same period in 2024, and 1.4 percent compared to the third quarter of 2025. Key sectors driving this performance included construction, which saw a 9.4 percent increase, followed by information and communication at 8 percent, and trade and tourism at 7.2 percent. Private consumption rose by 3.4 percent, while public consumption increased by 4.4 percent during the fourth quarter. Conversely, gross fixed capital formation experienced a significant decline of 15.2 percent. These revised figures incorporate adjustments to public finances, the balance of payments, and 2022 supply and use tables.
