Vehicle arson reported in Latsia

On the morning of the incident, at approximately 06:00, a vehicle belonging to a 42-year-old woman was set on fire in Latsia. The car was parked outside a private residence when the fire started. Initial forensic examinations indicate that the fire was set maliciously. Although the flames were extinguished before they could spread to the entire vehicle, significant damage was sustained to the front section. The Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) has launched a formal investigation into the matter. Authorities are currently gathering testimonies and reviewing surveillance footage from the surrounding area. Investigators are expected to interview the vehicle's owner soon to assist in the case. Police currently suspect that the motivation behind the arson may be linked to personal disputes.
