Ukrainian drone strikes target oil infrastructure in Tuapse, Russia

Ukrainian drone units conducted a series of strikes against the port city of Tuapse in Russia's Krasnodar region, resulting in significant fires at a Rosneft oil refinery. Regional Governor Veniamin Kondratyev confirmed the attack, reporting that at least one man was killed and another injured. Damage was also reported to civilian buildings, including a kindergarten and a church, caused by falling drone debris. The Ukrainian military claims the strikes targeted vital energy infrastructure to weaken Russia's economic capacity, following previous attacks in the region. Russian authorities acknowledged the strikes, noting that the port serves as a major hub for oil, coal, and fertilizer exports. This incident follows a similar attack on April 16 in Tuapse that resulted in two deaths. Additionally, the Ukrainian military reported a separate strike on a drone production facility in Taganrog, Rostov region. These events underscore the ongoing escalation of cross-border drone warfare between the two nations.
