Two Syrian men arrested following stabbing incident in Limassol

On Sunday, April 19, a violent altercation occurred in the Enaerios area of Limassol involving two Syrian nationals. According to the police, a 19-year-old man was hospitalized with a knife wound after reportedly engaging in a dispute with another individual. Police later located the second man, who also sustained a stab wound to his leg. Both participants were arrested and now face charges of assault and carrying a knife. While the 19-year-old initially claimed the attack was unprovoked, authorities are investigating reports that the altercation was motivated by allegations of theft. Specifically, one of the men suspected the other of having stolen money from him several days prior to the incident. The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is currently handling the case to clarify the circumstances of the brawl. Both individuals remain under police custody as the investigation continues.
