Fatal motorcycle accident in Hatfield involves 39-year-old man

On April 1, a 39-year-old British-Cypriot, Stefanos Tsirpis, died in a motorcycle accident in Hatfield, United Kingdom. The collision between his Yamaha motorcycle and a car occurred on Bishops Rise. The 50-year-old driver of the car was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Hertfordshire Police released the victim's identity on April 17 and are currently investigating the circumstances of the crash. Stefanos Tsirpis, a resident of Hertford, was the son of Kyriakos and Yiota Tsirpis and was married to his wife, Lisa. His father is well-known within the Cypriot community as a co-founder of the Cypriot Golf Association and a founding member of the Anorthosis football club. Authorities have appealed for any witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation. Funeral arrangements for the deceased will be announced at a later date.
