Poland upgrades travel advisory for Cyprus
Poland has officially upgraded its travel advisory for Cyprus, placing the country in level 1, which advises travelers to exercise normal precautions. Cyprus Deputy Minister of Tourism, Kostas Koumis, stated that this decision enhances the country's reputation as a safe tourist destination. The update coincides with existing Polish travel warnings remaining in effect for the United Kingdom and the United States. Koumis noted that the informal EU Tourism Ministers' meeting provided a platform for international officials to observe the island's safety and hospitality firsthand. Despite this positive development, the minister expressed cautious optimism regarding the upcoming summer season. He cited the volatility of the air transport sector as a primary factor that makes definitive predictions difficult at this stage. The Association of Cyprus Travel and Tourism Agents (ACTTA), represented by Antonis Orthodoxou, also expressed optimism regarding the potential growth of tourist arrivals for the season.
