King Charles III appoints Anna Keay to write official biography of Queen Elizabeth II
Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles III has appointed historian Anna Keay to author the official biography of the late Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen passed away in September 2022 after a 70-year reign. As the official biographer, Keay will be granted access to the Queen's private archives and personal correspondence. She is also permitted to conduct interviews with members of the royal family and close associates of the late monarch. According to the Press Association, the King specifically requested a female author for this project. Anna Keay is a recognized historian known for her work including 'The Restless Republic: Britain Without a Crown'. The biography is expected to provide historical insights, potentially revealing previously undisclosed details about the Queen's life, similar to previous royal biographies.
