Ayia Napa hosts third annual international dog show

The Municipality of Ayia Napa is hosting its third annual International Dog Show from April 17 to April 19, 2026, at the Georgios Katsouris Municipal Stadium. The event features a triple international championship show (CACIB) and a double national championship show (CAC). Participation estimates vary by source, with the Cyprus Kennel Club president reporting around 1,080 entries, while official municipal projections estimate over 1,160 dog entries. Participants, judges, and visitors have arrived from Cyprus and approximately 15 other countries, including Serbia, Greece, Israel, and various Scandinavian nations. For the first time, the program includes specific finals dedicated to Cyprus-bred dogs to recognize local breeders. Additionally, the event features separate finals in the main ring for working class winners of all breeds. This exhibition is considered one of the most significant cynological events in the Eastern Mediterranean region. Organizers stated that the event highlights the infrastructure and hosting capabilities of the resort town.
