Convergence of views on the new Penitentiary Institution

A delegation from ETEK, led by its President Konstantinos Konstantis, met with the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Kostas Fytiris, to discuss the planning of a new correctional facility. Both parties agreed on the need for evidence-based planning, consultation, and a suitable implementation method. ETEK reaffirmed its readiness to support the effort with its technical expertise and experience. They emphasized the importance of adhering to fundamental public works principles and selecting a location based on safety, functionality, social acceptance, and environmental protection. Further collaboration was agreed upon to specify necessary actions and next steps.
