Police investigate online fraud case.

Police are investigating a new online fraud case reported by a 79-year-old man in Paphos. The man received a phone call from someone posing as a bank employee who claimed his account was at risk. The scammer tricked the victim into revealing his bank account code and installing an application on his phone. Consequently, 1,460 euros were stolen from the man's account. Police remind the public to be cautious and never reveal personal codes to anyone, as banks never request such information by phone.
