Lawyer for Nicos Clerides to file request to cancel search warrant

Christos Clerides, the legal representative of lawyer Nicos Clerides, announced plans to file a request at the Supreme Court between Monday and Tuesday regarding the police search of Nicos Clerides' residence. The search was conducted in connection to the high-profile Santi case. Christos Clerides stated that the defense team is in the final stages of drafting the application. He explained that if the court grants the request and cancels the search warrant, it would be treated as if the search never occurred. Consequently, any data copied from Nicos Clerides' mobile phone or items seized during the operation would need to be returned to him. Furthermore, any evidence obtained through this search would become inadmissible in court proceedings. The legal team expects to be ready for the submission by early next week.
