Cyprus and Greece to sign strategic investment agreement in Athens

Cyprus and Greece are set to renew and expand their bilateral investment cooperation through a strategic memorandum of understanding. The document will be signed by Marios Tannousis, director general of Invest Cyprus, and Dimitris Skalkos, president of Enterprise Greece and secretary general for international economic relations. The signing will take place on April 21, from 10:00 to 14:30, at the Theoharakis Foundation in Athens. This event is part of the second business summit focusing on recent reforms to the Cypriot tax system. Tax Commissioner Sotiris A. Markides will deliver the primary presentation on tax changes to assist Greek investors and businesses. The event will also feature opening remarks from Cyprus ambassador Stavros Avgoustidis, CCCI president Stavros Stavrou, and Cyprus-Greece Business Association president Iosif Iosif. Additionally, legal and audit firms will present their service offerings to facilitate cross-border investments.
