Fashion Fighting Stigma event scheduled for April 2026

As part of the 2026 Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the country will host the 'Fashion Fighting Stigma' event on April 29, 2026. Taking place at the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) headquarters in Nicosia at 7:00 p.m., the initiative aims to address a study finding that 68% of Cypriots hide mental health issues due to stigma. Various fashion designers will present collections inspired by specific mental health conditions. Participating designers include Andreas Zannetides, Charis Charalambous, Kristia Charalambous, Ioanna Oikonomou, Leonie, Vanessa, Sofia Kouvarou, Marianna Pegka, Saro Jacques, Vasiliki Charitonos, and Pantelis Panteli. Additionally, two groups of students from UCLan Cyprus will focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. The event is presented by Eurolife, with the EAC serving as the gold sponsor and UCLan Cyprus as the silver sponsor.
