Electricity suppliers report billing data issues since market launch

The Association of Electricity Supply Representatives (SEPIE) has issued a formal complaint regarding persistent issues with metering data in the competitive electricity market. The association claims that the Distribution System Operator (DSO) has failed to provide timely and accurate data since the commercial launch of the market on October 1, 2025. These data inaccuracies lead to incorrect energy volume purchases by suppliers, resulting in additional financial charges. SEPIE states that these charges are ultimately passed on to consumers, increasing overall costs. The association denies any responsibility for these failures, placing full accountability on the DSO and its MDMS software. The ongoing technical issues limit the ability of suppliers to offer competitive pricing and attract new customers. SEPIE is calling for urgent intervention by relevant authorities to ensure market transparency and functional efficiency. The DSO has reportedly been notified of these deficiencies multiple times without achieving a sufficient resolution to date.
