Autopsy results released for pedestrian killed in Limassol taxi accident
A post-mortem examination has confirmed that 41-year-old Ukrainian national Oleh Deilyk died from multiple traumatic injuries sustained in a traffic accident. The incident occurred on Easter Sunday at approximately 21:45 on Griva Digeni Street near the Saint Nicholas church in Limassol. According to the police, the victim was struck by a taxi while attempting to cross the road from north to south. Mr. Deilyk, who was in Cyprus under temporary protection status, died instantly upon impact. Local authorities have arrested the 58-year-old taxi driver involved in the collision. The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the incident, including reviewing surveillance footage from the area. The victim resided near the site of the fatal accident with other Ukrainian nationals.
