Kassianidou: The role of the State Archive is particularly important for Cyprus

The Undersecretary of Culture, Dr. Vassiliki Kassianidou, visited the State Archives, now under the Ministry of Culture since January 1, 2026, emphasizing its vital role in preserving the country's historical memory. She highlighted that the State Archives maintains government records and also receives, digitizes, and catalogs private archival material for researchers. The Ministry will support the Archives' work, including infrastructure improvements. The Curator of the State Archives, Dr. Christos Kyriakides, expressed hope for support in building a modern archive facility.
