Journalist Makarios Drousiotis challenges police findings on the Santi case
Journalist and researcher Makarios Drousiotis has publicly challenged the police investigation regarding a witness referred to as 'Santi'. Drousiotis argues that the police are attempting to frame the messaging evidence as forged to build an alibi for suspects, rather than investigating the underlying allegations. He recently published audio recordings and screenshots, including an image of an injury allegedly caused by a former Supreme Court judge. Drousiotis contends that it is implausible for Santi to have fabricated hundreds of messages across multiple platforms in a single day back in 2019. He further claims that the police have sent the data to Europol to confirm it is fake, but warns of conflicts of interest regarding the Cypriot representative at Europol, Georgios Karkas. Furthermore, Drousiotis alleges that the police raid on Nikos Kliridis's home occurred before they finished analyzing the provided material. The police position remains that the messages are fabricated, a claim Drousiotis rejects as a cover-up by a corrupt state.
