Overview of cultural events and exhibitions in Cyprus
Cyprus is hosting a diverse range of cultural activities, including theater premieres such as 'The Father' directed by Giannis Leontaris at Dentro Theatre and the stage adaptation of Louiza Papaloizou's 'To Vouni'. Visual arts exhibitions are spread across the island, notably 'Agropoiitiki: Soils/Bodies' at SPEL in Nicosia and the 5th International Larnaca Poetry Festival, running from April 23 to 26. Historical documentation is highlighted through an exhibition marking the 200th anniversary of the Exodus of Messolonghi at the University of Cyprus. Cinema enthusiasts can continue to follow the 24th International Cyprus Film Days, which features various screenings in Limassol and Nicosia. Additionally, numerous gallery openings, including Claire Burnett's 'The Objects are Watching' at Art Seen, are scheduled throughout the coming weeks. Many of these exhibitions, such as those at the Leventis Gallery and NiMAC, will remain open through May and June.
