Cyprus Football Association announces referees for upcoming league matches

The Cyprus Football Association (CFA) has released the list of referees for matches scheduled from April 17 to April 19, 2026, for the Cyprus League by Stoiximan. Foreign referees have been appointed for the first group matches to ensure neutrality and higher standards during the final stages of the championship. On April 18, Omonia Nicosia will face APOEL Nicosia at GSP Stadium, Pafos FC will host AEK Larnaca, and Aris Limassol will play Apollon Limassol at Alphamega Stadium. On April 19, the second group matches include Olympiakos Nicosia against Akritas Chlorakas and Anorthosis Famagusta against Omonia Aradippou. Additionally, the CFA appointed local referees for the AEL Limassol versus EN Paralimni match on April 17, as well as for secondary league matches between ASIL Lysis and MEAP, and Ethnikos Assias against Ermis Aradippou. While some media reports highlighted that earlier matches utilized foreign referees in all roles to address past officiating errors, official releases confirm mixed staffing for the current round. No incidents were reported in the matches that previously utilized exclusively foreign personnel.
